Health Translation SA (HTSA) invites applications for the 2025 HTSA Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) Catalyst Grant Scheme.
Funding is generously provided by:
- The Hospital Research Foundation Group (THRF Group)
- Tthe Women's & Children's Hospital Foundation (WCH Foundation)
- The Cancer Council SA (CCSA)
The Catalyst is led and coordinated by HTSA (and administered by SAHMRI as HTSA's administering institution).

Funding Streams
There are 3 funding streams available in the 2025 Catalyst funding round and you will be required to select the stream(s) you wish to apply under.
- Stream A: Improving health outcomes for people living with chronic conditions (Funded by THRF Group)
- Stream B: Maternal/paediatric health and wellbeing (Funded by the WCH Foundation)
- Stream C: Cancer (Funded by the CCSA)
Please note that more than one stream may be selected when completing the EOI form, provided your proposal demonstrably addresses the criteria of the selected stream/s. (Refer to Section 3.0 of the Guidelines for stream-specific criteria).
Process to submit
Step 1: Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI)
Complete this online form by 5pm, Monday 14th July 2025.
Step 2: Notification of outcome
All EOI applicants will be notified of the outcomes as soon as possible following the review process (approximately 4 weeks after the EOI closing date).
Successful applicants will be invited to submit a Full Application.
